We have all seen or experienced it before---those inappropriate and often unsanitary actions which disgust and annoy most cultured people in society. Spitting, littering, peeing in public---all these and others fall into this category. I personally had the embarrassing experience one late night of seeing a man peeing alongside the river. He was not embarrassed at all.
Such inappropriate public behavior has a terrible effect on society. For one thing, most unsanitary behavior can spread germs and diseases to the general public. For another, they contribute to the pollution of the environment and show little or no consideration for the environment.
We must take steps as a society to improve this situation. Our government should sponsor public announcements and advertisements to emphasize the cultural inappropriateness of this kind of behaviors. There is no denying the fact that it has been a hotly debated topic whether students should attend military training in China in the past years. Opinions on this issue differ sharply. As is shown in the picture, a master student is applying for a job, but he is rejected. The interviewer just tells him the reason why he cannot get the job because he doesn’t have a Ph.D simple as picture is , what it conveys to us that the requirements from the company is high and strict.
It is of great necessity to figure out the negative influence behind it. On the one hand,from the perspective of the company, they will lose the talents who are qualified for the job, because the certificates cannot prove the applicants’ capability, as we all know, some certificates are fake. On the other hand, from the employees, they believe they have a high degree, but they still can’t meet the needs of the companies, which exerts an undesirable influence on their career plans or their mental health.
To sum up, there are some suggestions responsible for the above-mentioned impact. Firstly, the company cannot only judge a person’s ability from the certificate, but most importantly, give them a chance and let them show their real capability. Second, the applicants should improve their own practical ability in order to get their favorite job successfully.

As is shown in the chart, the number of Chinese people traveling abroad increased gradually. For one thing, in 2001, the number of people traveling abroad was seven point five million, which was increased to ten million in 2002. For another, in 2003, there were twelve point one million Chinese people traveling abroad. It is obvious that China is witnessing an ever prosperous overseas tourism.
The reasons of the increase lie in several aspects. First of all, with the implementation of Chinas reform and opening policy, chinas economy has been growing rapidly and steadily. In addition, peoples income has increased tremendously, so more and more people are now eager to see the outside world with their own eyes. Thirdly, the Chinese government has been simplifying the formalities of traveling abroad and has opened more overseas tourist destinations.
As I understand, more and more Chinese people want to travel abroad. One the one hand, at present most people can afford the fees traveling abroad. On the other hand, youngsters especially young couples treat traveling abroad as a new fashion. In conclusion, in light of the development trend of the Chinese economy, the number of outbound travelers in the future will keep increasing.

Looking Forward to the 21st Century
I am eagerly waiting the arrival of the 21st century, because it promises exciting new developments in science and technology. First of all, it is likely that telecommunications will expand by leaps and bounds. Secondly, more progress will be made in medicine, and thirdly the coming century will see mankind really come to grips with environmental pollution.
As far as communications is concerned, e-mail and the Internet will probably become available all over the globe, enhancing mutual understanding and making wars less frequent. Advances in medicine will enable us to live longer and healthier lives, and science and technology will provide more tools for tackling the pollution problem.
However, there will be new challenges to face in the new century. Population will continue to grow, putting pressure on the food supply. Moreover, there is a danger that people will become too dependent on machines to look after them, leading to a weakening of their spiritual lives.
I intend to prepare myself for the 21st century by keeping abreast of the latest developments in science and technology. But at the same time, I will not neglect cultural pursuits.

The newly-coined wordonline educationmay by no means sound strange to most people. During the past several years, hundreds of online education colleges have sprung up around China.
Why could online education be so popular in such a short period of time?For one thing, If we want to catch up with the development and the great pace of modern society, we all should possess an urgent and strong desire to study, while most people nowadays are under so enormous pressures that they can hardly have time and energy to study full time at school. Furthermore, online education enables them to save a great deal of time on the way spent on the way between home and school. Last but not least, the quick development of internet，which makes possible all our dreams of attending class on the net，should also be another critical reason.
Personally, I appreciate this new form of education. Its indeed a helpful complement to the traditional educational means. It can provide different learners with more flexible and various ways to learn. Most of all, through online education, we can stick to our jobs and at the same time study and absorb the latest knowledge.

防止空气污染
To prevent air pollution
As we know, our health is closely connected with the degree of air pollution. Our air has become polluted and it is high time we took action to slow down the air pollution. First of all, practical measures should be taken to stop some factories from giving off waste gases. Those gases are sometimes poisonous and greatly pollute our atmosphere.
Secondly, se should plant as many trees as possible. Trees can clean up the air, supply fresh air to us and help improve the natural environment. Finally, drive fuel-efficient cars. If possible, walk or bicycle to save energy and use new energy to produce less or no pollution to the atmosphere. If we do our best to protect our environment from now on, there is still hope for us to enjoy blue sky and breathe clean air every day.

As far as I am concerned, we should all have the notion of being the participants of supporting creation. First of all, creation is the most vital factor to improve the inner competitiveness of our nation. For another, it is certain that creation is so essential that enables many people to find their positions in the company and careers in their lives. Nowadays it is common to encounter a scene when people want to see things happen but can‘t make things happen for various reasons. The most important reason is that they just refuse to create and innovate. With the accelerated pace of our society, more and more people recognize the importance of creation that is bound to make a difference in social productivity.
Measures are also needed to encourage creation. First and foremost, the government should establish certain rules to sweep up the obstacles of invention. Some people have already complained much about complicated procedure of patent applications or high fees to do experiments of inventions. Additionally, high schools and universities can provide students with scholarships or overseas learning opportunities, which will stimulate more youngsters to join the group of invention and innovation.
